2009 Governor General’s Cup
On Thursday, August 13, 2009, AFC Saint John was very proud to host the Meet & Greet Luncheon Reception for the 2009 Governor General’s Cup – Cross Canada Centennial Flight in celebration of the Canadian Centennial of Aviation. Beginning in Winnipeg on July 30th, the international pilots from Australia, England, Switzerland, France, Chili, USA and Canada ventured on an 11,488km journey through 10 provinces and 3 territories. Many thanks to the Saint John Hotel Association, Tourism Saint John, Saint John Airport Authority, Steamers Lobster Co., Saint John Transit and Go Fundy Events who helped make this event possible.

The Saint John Flying Club, located upstairs at AFC Saint John, continues to welcome aviation enthusiasts to join as a full time or social member.
